Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
B.D. Lee Elementary will observe Red Ribbon Week throughout the week of October 28th – November 1st, 2019. Our school theme this year is, Send a Message. Stay Drug Free. Red Ribbon Week is a drug prevention awareness campaign observed annually during the month of October in the United States. During this week, we strive to educate children to Say No to Drugs!
Please look over the following activities, so your child may possibly participate in the school theme each day. We look forward to a great Red Ribbon Week! Please call the school at 864-206-6432 if you have any questions.
Monday, October 28th – Don’t Let Drugs Mix You Up! Mismatched Monday!
(wear mismatched clothing, crazy hair, tacky day)
Tuesday, October 29th – Be a Superhero…Have the Power to Say NO to Drugs! (wear superhero clothing or colors) Community Hero Day
Wednesday, October 30th – Friends Don’t Let Friends Do Drugs or Bully!
(famous duo day, twin day, dress like a friend(s))
Thursday, October 31st – Hocus, Pocus, Drugs are not our Focus! Happy Halloween!
(dress up as a book character or other historical person, please wear friendly costumes that are appropriate for school, parents are asked not to send students to school with scary costumes or masks)
Friday, November 1st – Keep Calm and BEE a Drug Free CHAMPION!
(BEE a CHAMPION Spirit Day – wear your favorite team
or wear school colors – black and yellow)
